Managed WordPress Hosting | WordPress Website Hosting Security

Due to a recent increase in malicious activity directed at websites with out-of-date software, it has become necessary for us to make modifications to our hosting services and rates. These modifications represent our ongoing effort to provide our clients with secure, professional hosting services.

Although it is true that hackers are working day and night to find security vulnerabilities to exploit in every CMS (not just WordPress), the good guys are doing their part as well. By issuing regular updates to the WordPress Core, WordPress Plugins, and WordPress Themes these web developers are actively patching potentially exploitable holes in security. These updates will not do any good if they are not installed, however. The Bellingham WP Managed WordPress Hosting service has been created as an affordable option to address these security concerns.

Bellingham WP Managed WordPress Hosting Service – ($99 quarterly)

This managed hosting service has been created as an all-in-one security and backup solution for WordPress website owners. Advanced customizations which must be re-implemented after each update are not included in this package.
Includes:

  • Monthly WordPress Core, WordPress Plugin, and WordPress Theme Updates
  • Complete website and database backups performed twice monthly (1st and 15th) and stored securely, off server, for up to 12 months
  • Installation and configuration of several WordPress security measures aimed at securing your WordPress website from malicious attack and intrusion
  • Dedicated IP Address
  • Base Website Hosting

Self-Managed WordPress Hosting – Dedicated IP Required (+$1.25 / month)

Want to manage your WordPress website’s updates yourself? Great. A self-managed WordPress Hosting account requires that you, or a member of your staff, perform regular updates to your website’s WordPress assets (Core, Plugins, and Themes). In addition, we are requiring that all self-managed accounts make use of a dedicated IP address, which is an additional $1.25 charge per month. The dedicated IP address will serve to keep your website safe should another website on the server become maliciously compromised while also protecting other websites from yours should it fall victim.
